My students are mostly migrants and low income students from a small farming town. They arrive to school weeks after school starts and are already behind. They leave about week before school ends. They rely on school for two meals a day and they often come early and stay late trying to fit in school work that requires a computer. Many have to go home and take care of younger siblings because both parents work two jobs to pay bills.
