My students struggle with reading and writing. They score in the 20% in their grade level. My role is to ensure that my students when they are finished with reading recovery they are reading at and above grade level. Most importantly, my students need to feel confident as readers and writing and I want them to have the resources they need. I will use these text and supplies on a daily basis with my students so they can take home to get the extra practice in reading and writing with their families while developing the love of reading and building their confidence so that they can become proficient readers and writers in their grade level.
