We are learning in all moments...What is more exciting than a classroom of young, energetic learners? It is wonderful to watch a child's ignited learning develop during play! Materials that are open ended best suit their diverse learning styles, interests, strengths and needs. My students would benefit from more developmentally appropriate materials to enrich and support their learning. They need frequent opportunities to practice and grow their communication, social-emotional, motor and foundational academic skills. These are their first school experiences as they are developing process skills essential for problem solving and communicating for all future learning. Research supports active exploration, which is essential for development. Hands on materials (blocks, sand, magnets, and art supplies) will allow children to test and discover, develop creativity and problem solving as they play! These materials will also stimulate language and social skills as they interact with peers. Requested materials will integrate all areas of learning! New materials will help spark little learners’ minds and provide engaging play opportunities to practice and connect knowledge and skills.
