My students receive special education services through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that are designed to support their unique learning needs. They come from diverse backgrounds and face a variety of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact their learning. Some also come from low-income households and experience challenges associated with poverty, which can create additional barriers to academic success. My students are resilient and eager to learn. They simply learn in different ways and often require additional support to reach their full potential. With the right support, these students continue to make meaningful growth and demonstrate strengths that often go unnoticed. Every day, they remind me that learning is not one-size-fits-all and that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
