I teach a substantially separate preschool classroom serving students with high needs, diverse communication styles, and a variety of sensory needs. I absolutely love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to be part of my students’ journeys. In our classroom, we celebrate every success — whether it is a big milestone or a tiny step forward. A first word, a new way to communicate, joining a peer, trying something new, or finding a strategy that helps a student feel regulated are all moments worth celebrating. Our classroom is a place where students are supported, accepted, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Every day brings new opportunities to build independence, confidence, and connections.
