I am a social worker/ counselor in an elementary school. My students are the absolute reason I come to work every day. They are deeply curious about life, fiercely resilient, and always striving to achieve their very best. However, many of them navigate academic and social-emotional challenges that can act as barriers to their success. My office serves as a vital sanctuary for students to feel heard, validated and understood. On days when a child is feeling down, overwhelmed, or facing hurdles outside of their control, they know they have a safe person to turn to who will listen. By supporting this project, you are helping me provide the dedicated space and resources these amazing children need to process their emotions, feel heard, and return to their classrooms ready to thrive.
