I have 22 enthusiastic kindergarteners eager to learn and expand their young minds. You can see the excitement on their faces as they learn to read just a few words to start with and as the year goes on, the excitement grows as they can read multiple sentences. Our charter school is one of the most desired institutions in the area. Because of this, our students are chosen through a lottery system. Every parent and child in the classroom WANTS to be at our school. Despite the enthusiasm, due to limited resources, I must request additional help in order to provide every resource available to develop literacy skills in my students that will last a lifetime.
