The students in the Functional Academics program are working hard to adapt to all of the changes in their routines that 2020 has thrown their way! While they all have Dell Touch Screen Laptops, donated by the Dalio Foundation they often times have difficulty participating in lessons without access to a mouse or stylus pen. A mouse and stylus pen (with a special grip) will allow them to better access their learning through the many online platforms that we have been provided with this year. I have found that providing my students with immediate, positive feedback for the outstanding work that they are doing, makes them feel accomplished and proud. If I had access to a device that I could utilize while teaching students in person and remotely that would provide them with feedback, visuals and reinforcement, I think my students would continue to grow and thrive in this everchanging educational environment!
