My students are third graders in the Midwest who attend a public school. They are from low to middle income families, with the majority being in the free and reduced lunch program. There is a lot of transition from school to school in our District due to various economic reasons. Many do not have the resources at home to help them practice facts or to become better acquainted with how numbers work together.
