As adults, we still look forward to reading our favorite magazine, whether it is Sports Illustrated, Rachel Ray or even that daily newspaper. These magazines help educate us about the world around us. Magazines can do the same for young children. My mission as a 1st Grade teacher is to create a community of readers that are engaged and life-long readers. Magazines are a phenomenal way to help spark reading interest, teach comprehension strategies, and supplement our curriculum.

About my class
