My fifth graders have the privilege to be a part of the national charter school movement in our downtown area. They are each unique in their own way. Even though they come from varying backgrounds, they work each day at being part of our classroom community. The Daily 5 has completely changed the way I run my classroom, as well as the way I interact with my students. Boushey and Moser, the founders of the Daily 5, express that it is, "a student-driven management structure designed to fully engage students in reading and writing." If you could visit our classroom, you would see students who cannot wait to dive in to learning.
