My classroom is one of diversity! Students from all over the district come to the school for the International Baccalaureate program. The majority of my students are reading at or above grade level, enjoy coming to school and learning new, exciting material. Our school is filled with many above average students and thrives off of what makes us different and as I teacher I hope to highlight those differences that make us unique individuals with different histories, cultures, and understandings of the world around us. At our school, students are participating in a reading initiative that encourages reading in all disciplines throughout the day. As part of this initiative, the Humanities department is utilizing novels as a part of our instruction. Our students love to read and with the ability to provide more novel copies to be used in the classroom and at home, students can continue to engage with Humanities content around the clock and be a member of the school community!
