I teach in a Title I special education classroom in Charlotte, North Carolina, where my students come to school each day ready to learn, grow, and overcome challenges beyond academics. Many receive specialized instruction due to disabilities such as autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and learning differences. Our classroom is a safe, structured, and supportive environment focused on academic growth, social skills, emotional regulation, communication, and independence. For many students, school is the most stable place they experience each day. As a Title I school, many students come from low-income households and have limited access to learning materials outside of school. The resources requested will provide hands-on, engaging, and developmentally appropriate supports that help students access the curriculum, reduce frustration, increase engagement, and build confidence.
