My students are a great set of kids! They are truly an inspiration to me and I am lucky to be their teacher. I met my incoming students at the end of the school year and look forward to spending this school year with them. We are a Public School in Harlem, New York where 95% of my students are Latino and 5% are African American and all qualify for free lunch, which is indicative of the poverty/socioeconomic status of the population I serve. They deserve just as much as the students in better school districts but because of budget constraints there is never enough money to go around. Teachers Choice money, all be it small @ $110/year, was cut but resources are still needed!
