My classroom is a place where language, culture, and connection come together. I teach Spanish II, Spanish III, and IB Spanish at two schools, supporting middle and high school students as they develop their communication skills and explore the Spanish-speaking world. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and finding their voices in another language. Through conversations, creative projects, music, films, and cultural exploration, students connect what they learn to their own lives and communities. We celebrate the diversity of Spanish-speaking cultures, including Afro-Latine and Indigenous perspectives, while learning to consider experiences beyond our own. My goal is to create a welcoming, engaging classroom where every student has opportunities to participate and grow. With meaningful resources and hands-on learning experiences, I can help students build confidence, strengthen their Spanish skills, and see themselves as capable communicators in a connected world.
