The students in my classes are wonderful, full of life and curiosity and challenge. Most are in 9th and 10th grade, all are reading and doing math below grade level (half at grade 1 or below), and all have IEPs (individualized education programs). I am also a case manager for students with IEPs. My class reteaches foundational concepts and strategies, with the goal of bringing students' skills toward grade level so they have access to the high school curriculum.
