My therapy classroom supports students with disabilities, many of whom come from low-income families and underserved communities. As a school-based occupational therapist, I provide individualized, hands-on experiences that address fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, coordination, self-regulation, and functional school-readiness skills. Many of my students have limited access to therapeutic resources outside of school, making our therapy environment especially important. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space where students can explore, practice new skills, build confidence, and experience success. Additional resources help me provide engaging, individualized activities that support greater independence, participation, and access to learning.
