My Project: Many students do not have a consistent supply of needed hygiene items. I have been able to provide various needed basic products by way of generous donors in the past. Teachers reach out often to acquire items for their students. Older students get items for themselves. Additionally, I want to provide snacks, school supplies, and articles of clothing. The care closet helps students feel clean, confident, social and more successful learners. Additionally, I conduct girls/boy groups on hygiene and health where I also distribute kits with lotions, sanitary pads, deodorant, hand sanitizer and more. As the winter months arrive, I would like provide school approved sweaters and jackets, lotions, socks, and other needed winter items.
