Alexandria City High School is the largest public school in Virginia. Our more than 4,500 learners transition between two buildings throughout the day, and the student body reflects the rich diversity of our Washington, DC area community. Families speak more than 127 different languages at home and come from over 118 different countries, meaning that the majority of our students are multilingual. Nearly half also come from low-income households, so any extra support we can provide at school makes a huge difference. Their dedication and determination inspire me daily, and your donation helps provide the extra boost they need to soar. I teach five math classes, each with 20 to 30 students. Three of my classes are specifically tailored for English Language Learners, and one has additional support for students with special education needs.
