Students at Widener have various physical & medical disabilities. Widener's goal is to help students successfully acquire skills and attitudes to ensure their fullest individual potential. Students get the opportunity to expand their PE through the use of the Widener pool. Benefits of being in the water for Widener students include hydro-mobility (improved movements & flexibility) which gives students the opportunity to move in ways that they are limited to on land. Other benefits include, muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Part of the Widener affirmation includes: "I am somebody, I am somebody, I am somebody and so are you."
