Students have obligatory free reading time every week and they think my current collection is somewhat boring, so I am trying to beef it up! Interested based reading at their Spanish level can internalize vocab, build fluency and lower stress. There are few better ways to build language. Students read for 15 minutes 2x/ a week and will appreciate fresh materials that are at their levels and interesting to them. Readers feature current-events and cultural topics (Latin America and Spain) in leveled language and novels provide young adult style relevance in leveled language, providing a chapter book experience. After they read they summarize and reflect on this experience.
