My dancers are part of a public middle school in Tennessee. Some of the girls have danced for years, but many have never danced before. They are very talented dancers that have qualified for a national dance competition, but could not attend due to financial issues. Our last competition the girls wore $5 shirts and skirts purchased from a discount store after Halloween. They are very resourceful and give everything their all! Dance is an important part of their life. It is a way for them to "fit in." The girls are usually very quiet at first, but a few weeks together and they have developed very outgoing personalities and lasting friendships. They are a very close group and work very hard.The dancers practice several times a week and perform for the community. All funds we receive are from fundraisers. All dancers must maintain a passing grade in all classes to participate. We have a variety of economic backgrounds on the team, but they all have one thing in common. They love to dance!
