I am a school librarian at the 5th & 6th grade school in my district. We serve around 600 students of which 85% are either free or reduced lunches. My school is only a few years old and when we moved into the school, we did not have the money to purchase new books or supplies. Instead we were given books from the other schools in the district. Many of those are older and unappealing to my students. We also have many students who read below their grade level. I am constantly looking for new books and materials to help our students, and materials to help support our teachers.
