Having these books in our classroom will help my kids so much! Our library is very out-dated and the books that have been donated to my classroom are outdated as well--some are falling apart, missing their covers, etc. and others are just...too old to be relevant to these kids. They need newer books--not just newly published/printed, but also newly written, with fresh, current perspectives about what it's like to be a teenager in 2017. We read every day and the kids have a reading and response grade at the end of every 6 weeks. To do well on this assignment, they need great books that they love to read!
