The materials I am requesting for my students will be used every day in phonics instruction. As the year progresses these materials will likely be used daily in other subject areas such as word study, writing and even mathematics. Initially students will use the blank side of the magnetic white boards with magnetic letters to identify letters and learn to write them. As they progress with letter identification, students will use the lined side of the white boards to correctly form the letters with the markers in a lined space and begin to write words, sentences and even short stories. I am excited to see my students' growth in becoming independent writers as they use the white boards and markers during our instructional time together! Thank you for your support of my students as they develop a love for learning and writing!
