I teach two special populations of students-struggling readers/writers and English language learners. Writing is VERY challenging for these groups of students because they struggle with basic reading skills, the foundation of writing. The students range from grades kindergarten through third. Our goal for these students is to provide support so that they can be successful in the regular classroom. We are a Title 1 school, and we are currently in year two of program improvement.
