My students are great, and they LOVE doing lab investigations, especially labs of this caliber (or as they like to call them "real, no-joke" labs!) We are a very high poverty district, and unfortunately most of our students do not pursue college after graduation. Many of those that do pursue college fail or drop out due to their lack of preparedness. ALL of my AP students should be pursuing college or some other career training program after high school. I'd love to be able to properly prepare them for college-level science labs NOW, while they're impressionable and in a more supportive educational system (we all now how it's sink or swim once you get to the college level!) Although we are in NO way a wealthy district, I believe our kids are just as deserving of a wealthy school district education so they can be equally successful after high school! Also, if they can pass the end of the year AP Biology exam, they can begin earning college credit!
