Dear ,

We're sending this note to say thank you! And hi!

And Happy Teacher Appreciation Day! Why?

Because ?Happy Teacher (who is also a cheerleader,

scientist, therapist, artist, and speed reader,

mentor and nurse and tech whiz and referee,

role model, roll caller, all-around MVP

who deserves our eternal) Appreciation Day?

takes such a very, very long time to say.

Wishing you love and support,

The meter and lab kits will help my kids experience water testing and reporting of on site conditions, as it is done in the field. They will be involved in an eco column lab that really helps them make connections to the earth and its systems. Students will build eco-columns giving them first hand experience with ecological cycles, living systems, water quality and the interconnectivity of living things. Each level supports a living system and all must be designed to ultimately keep a fish or snail alive. Water that passes through each system must meet the criteria for an aquatic life form. Students take many data points and look at trends to make connections. The sensor and data kits will make this 8 week project possible. I have seen and have no doubt that students will find this project their most memorable.
