I teach 5th grade in a high-needs community where 3/4 of the students that come to me have already fallen behind 2-3 years. The children's largest obstacle is their self-esteem and believing that they can complete the material given to them. With material from donors like yourself, we can achieve the huge task of having each and every child master their 5th grade year, thus setting them on the right track for future learning. This past year, I was proud to say, all my children passed their proficiency exams in both reading and mathematics!! Right there are proven facts that with the right tools, anything is possible.
