My students are always so eager to learn! Most of our learning occurs in a safe, comfortable environment - our classroom rug. I currently have a group meeting rug, which I inherited from a teacher many years ago. We begin our day here, with our morning meeting. It is here that we share things about ourselves, and foster a sense of family. It has served it's purpose, but my students deserve a new one. I would also like to provide them with options for flexible seating for their independent reading and writing times. This will ensure that all of my students can learn to read and write in a fun and calm environment.
