My Title I,high-poverty, public,urban school has over 100 Kindergartners,5-6 years old. They learn best exploring through adventures in the wonderful world of reading. They learn concepts to apply to their real life. Reading and hands-on experiences engage them. Many do not have books or resources at home.I personally buy books monthly for class and home. My goal is to inspire a love of learning through literacy! To reinforce this I give them technology to learn about their world. Computer technology using Tablets, and science infused with Accelerated Reading aids them in developing fluency and crucial comprehension skills. My overarching goal is to integrate technology with tools to meet each student's learning level. When we develop a love of reading,students can reach for the sky! Together, we can begin dreaming of making a difference!
