The Rogers Family Foundation has been partnering with DonorsChoose since 2005 to support public school classrooms across Oakland. Working with DonorsChoose allows us to get materials where they are needed most - in the hands of teachers and students. In 2016, we launched the New Year, New Materials campaign in partnership with GO Public Schools to target support for classroom projects at the turn of the calendar year with a focus on schools where more than 75% of students come from low income households and that serve students in Special Education, English Language Learners, and Newcomer students. Through this campaign we hope to give teachers and students a boost to finish the year strong with new materials that support learning.

With a strategic emphasis on transforming public education in Oakland, California, we make grants, catalyze initiatives, and champion community collaboration to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn and achieve to their greatest potential.
