To ensure students in the Houston area still have the tools and supplies they need to succeed in the classroom, Martellus Bennett is partnering with DonorsChoose.org to raise funds and awareness for classrooms in need, with a focus on the Fort Bend and Alief school districts where Martellus grew up, and where his mom is still a Middle School teacher.

Martellus is on a mission to create a better future by bringing more diversity to the arts. Through the Uncle Smarty Foundation and it’s initiatives, he is working to empower minority youth with the creative tools, access and space they need to tell their own stories, and succeed in creative careers.
