About Citizen Schools and Catalyst

For 25 years, Citizen Schools has been building partnerships with schools, communities and industry mentors to bring real-world hands-on learning to middle school students. Catalyst, Citizen Schools’ latest initiative, draws from quality standards of project-based learning and combines the passion, expertise, and skills of classroom teachers with career mentors to bring learning to life during the school day. Catalyst’s Career Mentor volunteers come from diverse backgrounds who are reflective of the communities they serve.

Thank you for participating in the Inspiring Students with Hands-on Learning and Career Mentors program, where we will be sharing an innovative unit, Sound.
