Our school is implementing a more personalized learning approach where children are working on skills that are specific to their needs. I am piloting this model of teaching in the area of mathematics this year. As I began to compile activities into math bins for engaging, hands-on activities for my students to interact with, I found that I was lacking in some of the learning targets--namely in measurement, fractions, and problem solving. The learning centers and games that I have selected will suit this need well. These products will make abstract concepts more real and fun for my hard-working first graders!
