I teach at an urban Title 1 middle school. My students are from very diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common: they have been identified “highly gifted” and have special needs not met by standard textbooks and curriculum. They are very inquisitive and have great potential, but I need more than basic kits to teach them. Many commute from far away because they need challenge and deeper education.
