My students come from the North Philadelphia section of the city. Our students overcome many hardships to come to our school. We have students who have just came to this country, and students who also are supporting their families. For the program our students are in they are all driven to succeed and succeed through education. Our students are signing up for after school and Saturday programs to better themselves. Part of our schools plan is to include Advanced Placement programs in order to give our kids the opportunity to receive college credit. Our kids are really dedicated but many times they don't even have places to keep their materials. Overall my school is a place where the majority want to learn but when they are not challenged or stimulated they end up cutting class, or leaving. Our goal is to make our school a safe learning environment.
