As a special education teacher working with students with learning disabilities, I am always looking for ways to make reading more engaging, accessible, and meaningful for every child. Having a variety of books available for small-group instruction has allowed me to better meet the individual reading needs, interests, and abilities of my students. Instead of relying on the same limited materials, I can now provide books that are appropriate for each student's reading level while still challenging them to grow. This has made it possible to create more purposeful reading groups where students can practice important skills such as fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and reading confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest impacts has been seeing my students become more confident and willing readers. Many of my students have struggled with reading and may become frustrated or discouraged when faced with material that is too difficult for them. Having books that are better matched to their individual skill levels allows them to experience success while continuing to build their abilities.
