My students need 3 class sets of Holocaust themed books. The titles are: The Diary of Anne Frank, I have Lived a Thousand Years:Growing Up in the Holocaust, and Daniel's Story. My students also need 1 copy of each book: In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer, A Boy in Nazi Death Camp, Behind the Bedroom Wall, and Cage.

Help me teach my students "Understanding" to help create a change in the world. I teach 7th grade Reading and Language Arts in a very high poverty area in West Virginia. My dream is open a window into "human understanding" by studying the Holocaust with my students. Holocaust education can provide a pathway for students to confront their present concerns involving loyalty, peer pressure, labeling, and belonging. By studying the past to understand the present, they can learn that human beings possess the power to control their behavior by thought, so they become aware of the importance of making choices and come to realize that one person can make a difference. Please help me open the window of change. My students need 3 class sets: Anne Frank, Daniel's Story, and I Have Lived a Thousand Years: Growing Up in The Holocaust and 4 single Holocaust themed titles ranging from In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer, to Behind the Bedroom Wall. Your Donation will help students not only this year, but for many years to come.
