My Students

Do you remember what it felt like to paint with your fingers? Creating your own art work is priceless. Learning basic writing skills with out even knowing you are doing it is even better. Do you remember how to express yourself through art?

I work with under privileged students who come from broken homes, low income homes, and live in poverty.

They are so willing and eager to learn. They love art, painting, and learning to write. However due to the budget cuts at our school it has become hard to provide them with the materials they need. These items will allow them to express themselves through art.

My Project

I work with both regular education students as well as special needs students; and the one thing they have in common is they all love art. They love to express their thoughts and ideas on paper. The finger paint paper will allow my students to freely express themselves while feeling the paint in between their fingers. Some of my special needs students don't like to have paint on their hands so the paint dabbers will allow them to create art projects with out paint on their hands; as well will the paint brushes.

This project is important to my students because they need the chance to express themselves through art.

Rather they are expressing their thoughts about things they learned in class or about things they may have encountered in their daily life. Every child needs a chance to create art.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
