This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Test days and rainy days can be boring and reading a book isn't the only alternative to pass time. We need some games to brighten our downtime and continue our learning while having fun!

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a class developed for students who will be able to go to college with the support of our class.

These students have the academic capability, having at least one Pre-AP class, but need support in succeeding with projects due in their other classes.

My Project

On most rainy days, our students have to sit in the hall or cafeteria with a book to read if they have one. Testing days can be hours long with nothing to do except wait until the given time is up, or put their heads down. I'd like to make those days better days and offer games to play to keep them active and learn at the same time.

I think waking up on a rainy day knowing you are going to get to play games will make it so much more enjoyable for the kids to want to come to school.

They know they will be able to collaborate with friends, and learn something new instead of sitting in the halls, or forced to read a book they didn't choose. Help me make those test days and rainy days exciting for my students!
