My Students

Imagine seeing an egg hatch for the first time. I would like my students to be able to experience this.

My classroom consists of students that are 7-8 years old.

Our school is in a small rural town in Missouri that has a high poverty rate. Each year I try to get the students excited about science but it is hard when you do not have hands-on activities for the students to enjoy.

My Project

I am asking for a chicken life cycle set, incubator and brooder to help the students in my classroom understand the life cycle of a chicken. I want to help my students learn about chicks by reading, watching, touching, and then actually caring for them.

This project is very important to me and my class because it will help the students not only learn about caring for animals, but also how chicken are hatched and how the life cycle continues.
