My Students

We need a window to our weather! We will soon be discovering the wonders of weather, but with only our window thermometer to go on we need more supplies and materials to help expand our horizons.

My students are courageous, exciting, and insightful.

I teach 40, 4th graders a day and they are absolutely some of the best group of learners I have seen! They are excited about learning and look for every opportunity to learn something new. They attend a rural Intermediate School with other 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.

My Project

The wireless weather station that I have chosen will give my students an opportunity to discover all the aspects of weather, other than just temperature. This wireless weather station will also enable me as a teacher, to incorporate numerous weather related lessons. Possible activities include investigating weather patterns and also the impact weather has on our everyday lives.

Donations to this project would mean so much to me and my students because it will enable us to learn all aspects of weather, and show my students that weather is not just finding out what the temperature is going to be for the day.

The broad impact this project will have on my students is the life-long understanding and respect for weather.
