My Students

I am a school counselor at an elementary school with 660 students. Students need to have the skills to cope with bullies that they encounter in their neighborhoods. With bully-free materials, I hope to create a bully-free campus. I hope to make our school a place where children are not afraid.

My students attend a public K-5 elementary school with 660 students in North Carolina.

We are in a small town in a rural area where both generational poverty and economic depression exist. Education is a way to break the chains of poverty for our students.

My Project

I am requesting resources to educate our students, parents, and staff about bullying. The materials I have requested include books, posters, games, and bulletin boards resources. I will be able to use these materials in the 30 classrooms that I serve to make our campus bully-free.

Bullies leave scars that last generations.

With tolerance and education, students can learn to stand up for themselves and others. Bystanders can learn to speak up and students can notify adults if bullying does occur. Instead of looking the other way, bullying behaviors can be extinguished. Keeping our campus bully-free can be a top priority. All students need to feel safe so they can learn.
