This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students writing on the board, making copies of commercially made worksheets, wasting time and money... Instead of immediately viewing students work and scanning it to make it accessible to all immediately. Now, that is priceless.

My students are an awesome group of young men and women, from the different parts of the City of Boston.

They are the best group of 7th graders I've had in my many years of teaching. They enjoy learning and are aspiring to be the best they can be. They know that in our school, which is 6 to 12th grade, more than 85% go to college. They know at we are expecting them all to go! Our school is a public pilot school, with students from 15 different countries and speaking more than 30 languages. Our school prides itself giving our students every opportunity to be successful. We use technology as a bridge to learning.

My Project

Students experience a good feeling when THEIR work is exhibited as exemplars. We waste a lot of time having students at the board and recreating their work. We can take back that time by displaying my students' work immediately with the document reader. We also save time and money, we can share their work to analyze, by scanning the documents and transferring them to our students' class computers instead of printing or copying it. There is power in having their authentic work as "worksheets."

We would be not only saving precious time on task , but money (paper, toner, etc.) by viewing work completed by my students and by scanning their work to share with others electronically.
