This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Upchuck and The Rotten Willy. Just think of how that sounds. Imagine you are a 3rd grader. Sounds very interesting right? This is a book that will interest my students and encourage them to read.

My students are an amazing group of 3rd grade students from a high poverty school.

My students are ready and eager to learn, they just need the materials to be able to. My students are focused, willing and eager to learn with anything that is put in front of them. My students are a group that can take a challenge given to them and master it. This group loves to read and do book studies as a class.

My Project

These books will give my students the opportunity to follow along as the class reads this book. These books will help my students advance their reading scores and potential. Being able to follow along and see words as they are read is a wonderful tool for my students. This helps improve their fluency and accuracy in reading.

Imagine going through life not knowing essential skills to get you through daily life.

This is what is happening as children go through school without the skills to understand reading. Reading is an essential part of life everyday. A person simply cannot get through life without being able to read something. These books will help my students be able to enhance their reading skills.
