Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember when you had to wait your turn to use the computer? Having only two desktop computers in the classroom limits my students to have a turn. The students have to wait a period of a week or more to get a turn on the computer.

My 4th grade students want to stay updated with technology.

They are a great group of English Learners who attend a school in a poverty area. Most of my students don't have access to a computer and Internet at home. They are eager to learn and are motivated to do their work when it comes to using a computer.

My Project

By having an additional computer, my students will have the opportunity to enhance their learning and will be able to have a turn more frequently. They will be able to have access to the Internet, work on power point presentations, and will be able to practice reading, math, and writing skills by using interactive programs. The students will be able to save their research projects in the memory sticks.

Once my students experience how to do power point presentations, they will be more motivated to do other research projects.

This useful skill will be beneficial in their future school years.
