This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach several very high level Advanced Placement classes to some very motivated students.

We are a small school in a very large urban school district.

We are a minority dominated school, with approximately 61% Hispanic students, many of them from low income families. Most of them will be the first in family to every attend a college or university. They are extremely bright and highly motivated, many taking 10 or more Advanced Placement classes, starting in 9th grade!

My Project

We make use of a lot of technology equipment in our classrooms. We were able to purchase a projector for each of our room a few years ago, but they are getting old and need to be replaced. The new one will be used to present lessons and other materials to the classes.

Our existing projector is now several years old and needs to be replaced.

The color is getting hard to see, and the resolution is not the best. As we continue to try to grow our programs, we need better quality equipment to meet the students needs.
