We are one of the top schools in the US, serving an inner city, high poverty population. The students come from all over the metropolitan area and take part in a very rigorous, college preparatory program. All of our students take part in Advanced Placement programs, starting in their freshman year, with many taking multiple AP classes each year. To support the students, we have created several special classes, one of which is called Super Class, a Junior year program with three separate classes, lecture for AP Chemistry and AP Physics C Mechanics, and a separate lab class that we are constantly trying to improve with newer activities and better equipment. This class is open to our top students, all of whom are taking at least 4 AP classes that year.
