My third grade classroom is full of energy! My students love to move when they are learning so I use music, dances, and other movements to keep their brains in gear. When I say "Ready to rock?," they respond, "Ready to roll!"
My third grade students are excited about learning!
They love to participate in discussions and answer questions. If you ask a math question, be prepared to hear many ways to solve it. They enjoy showing off all of their strategies. They also love standing and moving when they work.
My Project
My students will really be thinking on their feet with the new standing desks! With 8 standing desks, my students can rotate through every 30 minutes so that everyone will have an opportunity to stand. They already love to stand, and now they will have desks that meet that need.
Standing desks will help the students be more engaged and learn more.
They will be more focused and have a chance to get out the wiggles and extra energy that sometimes leads to disruptive behavior. They will be more alert, have better posture, and be healthier too!
